The ACT has entered into a twenty-one day lockdown from 5.00pm 12 August 2021, as a result of a COVID-19 case being identified in the community and positive wastewater detections. At this stage, the lockdown will remain in place until 5.00pm Thursday 2 September 2021. 

Icon Water will continue to serve the Canberra community. We’ve been providing safe, and clean, water and wastewater services to Canberra residents for over 100 years. The community places a lot of trust in us and it’s a job we take seriously.  
We are working closely with the ACT Government to ensure we have the best practices in place to ensure there are no impacts to the quality of your water or wastewater services due to COVID-19.  
Our Incident Management Team is working to ensure priority business operations continue safely and effectively. To do this, the following changes have been implemented:

  • The front desk located in Mitchell is closed until further notice. If you require assistance please call 02 6248 3111
  • If you have any questions about works in your community, call our 24/7 faults line on  02 6248 3111. We always have staff on call, they’ll provide all the info you need.  

While many of our employees are still working from home our teams on the frontline continue to manage, and maintain, our water and sewer network. It’s important we continue to social distance. Please don’t approach our crews while they’re completing works in your area. They’re there to keep your water running and sewer flowing, please let them work.  

We’ve been through many challenges as a community - droughts, bushfires, and COVID-19, and we’ll continue to place the safety of our community, and our employees, at the forefront of what we do.
