As a part of the 2018 Canberra and Region Heritage Festival, join us for a free and exclusive tour of one of the ACT’s oldest buildings, the Cotter Pumping Station on Friday 20 April.

Built in 1915 to pump pristine water from the Cotter Dam to what is now the Mount Stromlo Water Treatment Plant. This tour will cover the techniques used to supply water for the Nation’s capital between 1912 and 1965 - still in working order today.

Visitors will learn about the history of the Cotter River catchment, the dams and infrastructure that has been supplying Canberran’s with a fresh clean water for over 100 years.
