Necessary works may cause water discolouration in O'Connor
November 30, 2016
Icon Water crews will conduct necessary work to upgrade a valve in O’Connor, north of MacArthur Avenue, on Thursday, 1 December 2016.
As a result of these works, there may be a reduction in water pressure and change in direction of water flow. This may cause some temporary water discolouration in the area due to naturally occurring sediment being stirred up within the network.
It is not recommended that you drink the water if it appears, tastes or smells objectionable. Customers experiencing discoloured water are advised not to use washing machines and dishwashers as it may stain clothing or clog filters.
Whilst it is difficult to predict to what degree the water will be affected, Icon Water advises that any discolouration should clear with normal use. If you continue to experience discoloured water after Thursday, 1 December 2016, let us know by calling 02 6248 3111 and selecting option 1.
Icon Water would like to take this opportunity to apologise to our customers in the affected area for any inconvenience this important work may cause.
