John Knox, Managing Director, said “water and sewerage prices reflect the costs associated with sustaining and renewing our critical assets, including dams and pipes, so we can continue to meet the needs of our customers.”

“For an average household that uses 200 kilolitres of water per year, the 2017–18 water and sewerage pricing would mean a 2.15% increase to a bill, which is roughly $25 over the year.”

“Icon Water is proud to provide our community with high quality drinking water and treat sewerage to a high standard” said.

The 2017–18 financial year is the last of the current five-year pricing period. Icon Water will submit its 2018-2023 Price Proposal to the ICRC on 30 June 2017.
