    Every year, Canberra’s drinking water is the subject of rigorous monitoring and testing across the range of catchments, and storage reservoirs, treatment plants and even from the taps of customers. We think it's a top drop and we hope you do too!

  • Blocked pipes

    We work closely with local plumbers to develop education material for the community on drain care and what to do in the event of a plumbing fault or blockage. Our online resources may assist you in explaining blockages, and plumbing boundaries to your customers. If you would like some printed copies of this material, please talk to us on 6248 3111 (option 3). 
  • Plumbing reimbursements

    Icon Water has a reimbursement policy for plumbers to recover reasonable costs associated with blockages and issues that are confirmed to be on Icon Water’s network.  

    Rates for eligible work completed include:
    • Labour 
    • Plant and equipment 
    • Materials 
    • Simplified 'tie excavation' reimbursement 
  • Relocate or alter a service

    Request a relocation or alteration of a service including sewer manholes and water meters.
  • Liquid Trade Waste

    All non-domestic sewage (also known as "Liquid Trade waste") must, by law, be approved by Icon Water before discharge. Every business must gain approval to discharge their sewage to sewer prior to discharge.

  • Water meters

    Icon Water is responsible for the water meter infrastructure up to, and including, the water meter. Only Icon Water and our authorised agents are authorised to work on ACT water and sewer networks.

  • Consultancy services

    Icon Water can provide your business with a number of water and sewerage services.
