Mr Fluffy / loose-fill asbestos financial assistance
The Loose Fill Asbestos Insulation Eradication Scheme was established in July 2014 to provide a coordinated and compassionate response to the lasting impacts of loose-fill asbestos in Canberra homes.
We help support families with impacted homes by working with the ACT Government to waive charges associated with water and wastewater. We also seek to fast-track any planning approval processes where we have a role to play.

How long will the support be available?
Support will be available until the premises has been re-leased following renewal of the site.
What is Icon Water's support package?
We waive supply and consumption charges while affected homes remain vacant.
Any applications will be validated with the ACT Government's Loose Fill Asbestos Coordination Team to confirm eligibility.
When will the support be available?
Support will be available from the date the property is vacated by the affected occupant.
