Icon Water advise of traffic disruption to restore full water services near Melbourne Building

Icon Water has advised of essential unplanned works over the weekend which will repair a water main between London Circuit and Alinga Street in Canberra City.

Starting early on Saturday 3 May and expected to be completed by Monday 5 May, works are necessary to return services to normal operation.

To minimise disruption to the community, this repair will occur over the same period as other planned works by Canberra Metro, where one northbound lane of traffic on Northbourne Avenue will be closed.

Icon Water is working directly with Canberra Metro, ACT Fire and Rescue and impacted customers to assist with critical water requirements.

The works are not expected to affect water quality. If any discolouration occurs for customers in the local area we suggest running the tap for three minutes to clear the water.
