It’s vital the discharged water from our sewage management process is clean enough to ensure not only the health of the environment, but of the animals living in it and surrounding human populations.

It’s hard to imagine what wastewater management was like in the ACT before the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC), added much needed quality to Canberra’s treatment process back in the late 70’s.

On World Toilet Day it’s comforting to think how lucky we are in Canberra, it could be so different. It is incredible to think that more people in the world have a mobile phone than a toilet, a simple thing that we generally take for granted.
