Traineeships

Our traineeships are one- and two-year opportunities for school leavers or people seeking a career change.

We offer administrative and technical traineeships where each trainee is provided on-the-job training and development opportunities through a recognised institution.

These traineeships and areas of study include: water industry operations, work health & safety, project management, and human resources.

For example, completing a water operations traineeship would give you exposure to:

• Operating, monitoring and controlling a plant.
• Conducting detailed inspections and sampling procedures.
• Preparing reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Participating in the development of safe working practices and procedures.
• Testing and training new technologies.

• Year 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Passion for the water industry
• An understanding of workplace health and safety, and its importance in a workplace.
• A passion for driving safety behaviour every single day.
• Nurturing of positive relationships while also having a strong sense of accountability and self-drive.
• An interest in exploring new technologies and discovering how to bring innovative ideas to life.
• Experience using computer software applications including Microsoft Office.
• A willingness to achieve a formal qualification to support your role.
• A current ACT class C driving license.
